Tom D. Conkright

Analyst, designer, project manager, writer

Tom Conkright

Over 20 years as a pioneer in the use of media to communicate, educate, and train in business and industry.

Over 10 years as president of Pro/Right, providing the marketing, analysis, design, general contracting, and project management for a wide variety of projects.

Six years as a partner in Synesis Corporation, Roswell, GA. Responsible for project management, design, and methodology for the development of performance-based materials. Co-authored a workshop on Managing Multimedia Development.

Three years as a senior manager with Andersen Consulting (NOT Arthur Andersen) Change Management Services, Atlanta, GA. This included leading the firm’s training workshops on Computer Based Training for senior consultants and managers, and delivering and rewriting the three-week Performance Design Fundamentals workshop for all new trainers.

Over two years with Crawford Communications, Atlanta, GA. as Vice President of Operations. Crawford is a national leader in video and graphic production, including the design for the 1996 Olympic Games mascot, Izzy.

Three years with Rediffusion Simulation in Arlington, TX, leading the design and development of computer-based training and simulation.

Two years as president of Training Automation, Minneapolis, MN, offering consulting on computer-based training.

Seven years with Control Data Corporation in Minneapolis as a marketing and publishing manager for the PLATO CBT system.

Tom earned his MS in Curriculum Development from Southern California University and his PhD in International Education from the University of Illinois.
